Using real-life examples during the consultation

One of my favorite parts of my practice is the moment when we take the final photo of a patient who’s undergone full-mouth implant surgery and compare it with the photo we took when he or she first came in.
You can see the joy in their eyes, their smiles, their overall demeanor. The new set of teeth has given them a renewed confidence and new lease on life. It’s beautiful to behold.
It’s also the best marketing tool you have.
Many dentists only show before-and-after smiles or use stock photo to help new patients understand how the implants will look. I always use my own real patients and show their full faces. Nothing better demonstrates the total transformation that can take place when someone invests in a set of full-mouth implants.
Here are some of my favorite recent examples. I’ve specifically selected a diverse group — a variety of ages, gender, ethnic backgrounds — so that the potential patient is more likely to see himself or herself in the photos.
Before and after photos like these are great for your website, social media outreach and other marketing efforts — but be sure to use your own patients' photos so you can speak directly to your work. Capturing the spark in the eyes of your patients at the end of their implant journey is one of the best pieces of marketing you have.
